Vine & Tasting Room Positions at Lincoln Peak Vineyards

April 9, 2013

Just got word that the good folks at Lincoln Peak Vineyards are looking for help in the 2013 season.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in cold climate viticulture and wine making, to work with one of the finest outfits in the Green Mountains.  The Granstroms are Vermont Viticulture leaders, have been making very nice wine in the last several years, and have decades of sustainable farming experience in the Champlain Valley.

Details of the positions are below, and I’ll sure tell you that if I was not already occupationally engaged, I’d have already sent in my application and would probably be pitching a tent in their vineyard right now.

Hello friends,
We’re hiring for a couple of positions at the vineyard.  Do you know anyone who would be a good addition to our team?  Please help me spread the word.

In our tasting room:
Do you thrive on being busy and making people happy? Lincoln Peak Vineyard is looking for someone with solid customer service experience for a part- to full-time position in our tasting room for the 2013 season. The right candidate has a positive attitude, is cheerful and chatty with customers, can stay busy on solo projects, and works quickly and efficiently. We work hard and enjoy what we do, and we hope you’ll do the same. Knowledge of wine is a plus but not necessary; motivation to learn is essential. This position runs from mid-May to mid-October, and includes one weekend day and an evening shift every week or two. Please send your resume, references, and availability to Sara at

In our vineyard:
Lincoln Peak Vineyard is looking for experienced farm workers for the 2013 season. We’re looking for positive, punctual, motivated workers who can do physical work outdoors eight hours a day. The vines grow about 5.5-6 ft off the ground, and all the work is done by hand or with small hand tools. The job runs from early June to late August (possibly with a brief lull in work in late June), with the possibility to extend work through mid-October for the harvest season. We work 5 days a week starting at 7:30 am. Pay is commensurate with experience. Please email Sara and Chris at with your name, phone number and a good time to call you, your farm work experience, your availability, and references.

For the right person, there may be an opportunity to split a full-time position between the vineyard work and tasting room. Please let us know if you’re interested.
